Holy Cow Award
Alma School/Warner Road Intersection Improvements Project
The City of Chandler awarded CEI the Holy Cow award for completing the intersection improvement project on time and within budget considering the many challenges it faced. “This was one of the most challenging projects for the City as they were not certified to spend Federal money and had to advertise it through the ADOT system”, stated Maher Osman, CEI’s Project Manager. In addition to Maher managing the project and its many utility coordination challenges, he simultaneously assisted the City through the Federal certification process.
The $7.2M project was delivered on time, within budget, had an 8-10% savings, met ADOT administrative guidelines and the project and quality requirements while implementing the City of Chandler improvement requests. Assisting Maher were CEI’s Suzie Avelar and Tom Ehly, and QT’s Jeff Schaper and Sara Routhier.
